MASKING POLICY: All visitors must wear a face mask covering their mouth and nose in campus buildings except while eating/drinking or warming up/competing. All athletes will be expected to wear a masked in the Indoor Athletic Facility at all times when they are not involved in a physical activity that raises their heart rate or respiratory rate (I.e. standing in line waiting for there turn in warm ups or between attempts). Coaches must wear a in the Indoor Athletic Facility except while eating or drinking. Failure to comply with this policy may result in denial of access to designated areas or participation in activities, and/or discipline in accordance with applicable university policy, and or disqualification from competition.
While the youth and high school competitions are held separately, the total meet capacity is 600 athletes. Both entry portals will close when meet capacity is reached even if before the close of entry date.
ALL ATHLETES MUST HAVE A PARTICIPANT WAIVER EXECUTED BY THE AUTHORIZED PERSON FILED WITH THE MEET TO COMPETE.
HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES in grades 9-12; YOUTH ATHLETES 14 & under. Athletes may compete for track clubs, schools and unattached. Athletes attending middle and high school in Kansas and Missouri must compete for a club or unattached. Athletes from states outside of Kansas and Missouri may compete for their school if allowed by their state high school sports federation, otherwise they must compete for a club or as an unattached athlete.

ENTRY & ENTRY FEE:
Entry fee is $20.00 per athlete, limit 3 events. All entries are due online at: www.CoachO.com for Youth athletes in age groups 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. Athletes who are 14 may encounter a problem entering the meet, and should contact the meet manager at [email protected] for instructions. High School athletes enter at www.KsMileSplit.com.
$5.00-everyone over the age of $5.00. Competing athletes, spectator college athletes, coaches, medical professionals, and Olympians from any country are admitted without charge.
Entries will close on February 16, 2022 at 9:00 p.m., OR WHEN MEET CAPACITY IS REACHED. Late entries, if space is available, will incur a $15.00 late fee. No meet day entries will be accepted. No refunds will be granted. Entering marks are encouraged but not required. Meet management reserves the right to select which sections entrants will be placed.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
The YOUTH competition will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and will proceed on a rolling basis thereafter until all events are completed. The HIGH SCHOOL competition will begin one hour after the last running event in the youth competition is completed, and proceed on a rolling schedule. On February 17, 2022 at 9:00 p.m. an updated schedule of events and list of entries will be posted on the meet website at www.TopekaSuperMeet.com.
Athletes must check-in on the football field 30 minutes prior to their event. Athletes checking late will be stretched.
SHOT PUT & WEIGHT THROW WEIGHT IN:
Implements must be weighed-in 45 minutes before the start of the competition in the event area. Athletes must provide their own implements.
Only 1⁄4 inch pyramid spikes will be allowed on track. Spikes will be checked and tagged, and those not meeting the regulations must be replaced by the athlete. Athletes who are found to have competed in illegal spikes will be disqualified.
WARM UP AREA:
All warm up shall take place in the designated warm up area on the football field adjacent to the track. No warm up is allowed on the track or in any competition area. No food or beverage, other than water, is allowed in the warm up or competition areas. No camping is allowed in the warm up area, violators will be asked to move immediately.
Medals will be presented to the top three places in each event in each age group and division. Divisions may be combined for competition with separate results.

PACKET PICK UP:
Coaches, parents, and individual athletes may pick-up packets at the meet headquarters at the Hotel Topeka, on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Indoor Athletic Facility. We will distribute the packet to the first coach who arrives at the packet pick-up area. The packet will contain the access credentials for the entire team. Please make arrangements to meet your team at a designated location outside the track facility to distribute credentials if you are planning to arrive at different times.
Unofficial results will be posted after each event in the warm-up area. Complete final results will be available after the meet at www.blacksquirreltiming.com.
The Indoor Athletic Facility will open to competitors, coaches and spectators at 8:00 a.m. Only athletes will be permitted inside the competition areas, coaches are allowed in the warm up area.
Parking for the meet is in the lots across from the baseball and softball fields for cars and vans. Busses shall use the large parking lot off of 19th and Macvicar Street. There will be no event parking across the street from the Indoor Athletic Facility in the Art/Student Rec parking lot. Unauthorized vehicles parked in that lot may result in the vehicle being towed at owner’s expense.
TEAM CAMP AREA:
Team camp is allowed only in the designated area on the football field. There shall be no warm-up in the team camp area. Teams should be mindful of space limitations and keep their camp together, clear of trash and clutter. Headphones are required for music. Teams shall insure that their area is clean before leaving the facility.
The Topeka Super Indoor Invitational is sanctioned by USA Track & Field, the national governing body for track and field in the United States.
CONDUCT & COOPERATION:
The Indoor Athletic Facility is a $25,000,000.00 property of Washburn University, its use is granted as a curtesy to the athletes and families participating in the Topeka Super Indoor Invitational. Sportsmanship and proper respect for the building and equipment is demanded from all athletes, coaches, spectators and officials at all times while on the campus.
